I'm not 100% sure if I've ever mentioned it but I love blushes. They're my favorite makeup product to buy, try and play with! With saying that these are my top five favorite blushes for this time of year!
Benefit Rockateur Blush- Despite hating the packaging of benefit blushes and this one's particular design I have fallen in love with this blush. I got this blush because I wanted something that was a rosey-gold color but wasn't completely flat. This shade is perfect-it's a rosey-gold so it does give a bit of that "I'm wearing bronzer but not really" sheen but also has a pink twinge that brightens the face.
Kat Von D Everlasting Face Shaper Blush in Por Vida- First of all this blush is so creamy and pigmented. It's so pigmented that I originally had trouble applying it. With this blush less is better! It's a bright coral color that automatically reminds me of summer and it has a nice sheen that's not too shimmery
NARS Blush in Deep Throat- This is one of NARS' cult blushes with a rude name (and for some reason that makes me love NARS even more). I like this one a tad bit more than Orgasm, NARS' other naughty blush, because Deep Throat is a softer peach color with small silver shimmery pieces that reflect the light naturally as compared to the bright pink flush with larger more noticeable gold specks. This is for the days when I want something naturally but don't feel like reaching for my Josie Maran Cheek Gelee!
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in True Love- I call this blush the perfect flush blush. It's a matte blush in that perfect I've-just-done-a-bit-of-exercise color. This particular blush is a bit hard to get the pigment onto the brush as the blush itself is a bit stiff but once you do the color pay off is so worth it. I love it for a perfect no makeup makeup look.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée in Poppy Paradise- This is my all time favorite blush. If I were to pick one blush to use everyday with out fail, this would be the one. First off Josie Maran products are good for you and the enviornment, this particular product features natural ingredients, organic argan oil and is also cruelty free and vegan. The product itself is a bit scary in the pan but once you apply it (my favorite way to apply is with my ring finger) it gives the prettiest wash of color that sinks into the skin and lasts all day. This product is also extremely hydrating and has the best cool feeling when first applied. I love it.

Another month, another set of favorites. This month a lot of my favorites are new products that I'm loving or things that help perfect a lazy day makeup routine. I've also been loving a few shows; Dig (on USA) and Dancing with Stars! I'm so excited for May and then June, mainly because I have senioritis bad.

For some reason I have fallen in love with these jeans. I normally hate ripped/distressed jeans but these are so comfy and look great on me that I don't mind the rips. They give a bit of an edge to an otherwise boring outfit, you know? I also have been really loving black clothing lately and that's so strange for me. Normally I'm almost anti-black clothing but for some reason I've been drawn to black bottoms, sweaters and even a scarf or two!
I wore this outfit for a casual Sunday outing. It was the perfect mix of casual but put together so that I didn't feel over dressed or under dressed. Other than that this weekend was pretty laid back! What about you?

My bag came with 5 items this month, three that I'm excited to try and two that I could really without. The first thing I noticed when I opened the bag was the lotion, which is actually a daily moisturizer by Lather (full size here for $21). I opened this and popped a bit on my hand, while the smell was not something I liked it felt pretty decent otherwise! The next thing that caught my eye was definitely the nail polish as it was the second biggest item. The nail polish is by Julie and the color isn't crazy unique but I'm all for a new nail polish! Finally this next item is the teeny tiny eye shadow by theBalm. I have never tried any products from theBalm but have heard great things about the brand and the highlighters they've got. The shade of this one is Flirty from the fun Nude Dude palette.

Fleur was saying how much she liked the e.l.f Blush Palette and I definitely do not need another blush but it was only $6 so I caved and bought it.

Now onto the fun things!I last changed my blog layout in February of 2014, about a year ago. At the time I was looking for blog templates that featured gold because I love how gold looks in a blog design but after I found my previous one I fell in love and for over a year-I loved it. It felt right but when I took my unannounced blogging break up this year I kept getting discouraged looking at the layout. It wasn't me any longer. It didn't fit.
Brand Me Beautiful and their templates. I loved the selection of gold filled themes and I knew that I would use one for the re-design I had in mind. It took three week before I decided to buy the Editorial theme and a few days later it went up and I finished the rest of my re-design. I am incredibly happy with how my little corner of the web looks now and I hope you like it too!
I am beyond excited that March is over and we're finally moving into Spring. I'm ready for warm weather! Today though I thought I'd share my favorites from March (& February) so you could see what I'm loving!!
I'm pretty rubbish at describing scents but according to the website the notes are rose, peony flower, mandarin and amber. I can really smell the peony flower and amber at first but by the time it dries it smells so delectable as all the scents blends together.
I was surprised at how long this lasted, I stayed on all day and if I happen to have a rehearsal it stays through about half of the time I'm there, which I'm perfectly okay with. What I love about this is that you'll think it's gone of faded but then you'll get a whiff of it again.
Quebec City is very rich with Catholic influences. They've got two beautiful churches and I thought I'd share them both with you. The first set of pictures is of Cathedral-Basilica of Notre-Dame de Québec, and the second is the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré.
I'm back with a second Quebec photo diary, this time we're going to be focusing on my personal favorite activity (besides shopping) which was, dog sledding. This was my favorite, because we got to spend time with the dogs before we went sledding and we as the name would suggest, we went dog sledding. Now, these dogs loved doing this, I never saw any of them look fearful or unhappy. I also would like to point out that yes, these dogs are chained up but it's for their safety as well as our own, the visitors. But enough with that, on to the ample amounts of doggies!!
